Bulging disc exercises- Choose the right one for rehabilitation
People suffering from a bulging disc will tell you what a frustrating and uncomfortable experience it is. The pain is excruciating, caused by a muscle imbalance. What actually happens is that the outer layer becomes corrupted while the protective layer in the middle of the spinal disc begins to shift thus exposing its sensitive side. This creates a bulge in the spinal disc, which exerts a pressure on the spinal nerves. This pressure causes a considerable amount of pain. There are certain bulging disc exercises which could help in a long term solution.
The treatment you will receive for the bulging disc will depend upon the severity of your situation. Taking rest is an important part of healing so that there is less stress on your spine. There are quite a number of bulging disc exercises. A mini trampoline exercise can help. This exercise needs you to stand on the 3-4 feet wide trampoline with your head looking straight ahead, arms at the side and slowly walk. This exercise, if performed for five minutes daily, will help you improve your balance, align your spine correctly and remove the pressures on the spine.
The other exercise requires a therapy ball which you have to sit on and gently bounce up and down on it. This exercise too should be performed for about five minutes per day, which helps pump the discs with new oxygen and nutrients, for a faster rate of healing.
Bulging disc exercises, like a simple lower back exercise, can also help decompress your spine and encourage the discs to go forward and get separated from the affected nerves. A good tip is to avoid running and exerting yourself too much because that could worsen your condition.
